How do you stay motivated?
Independent Scentsy Star Director Cassie Watene answered with: “Seeing my Scentsy Pay and seeing things I want to spend my pay on!”
Independent Scentsy Director Emma Parker was all about a defined ‘why’, saying: “Last year, it was to contribute to our first home and upgrade the car. Ticked both those boxes. This year, it’s the bathroom/ laundry renovations”.
Independent Scentsy Director Ange Guenard shares the motivation from pursuit of a powerful ‘why’. She shared: “I am motivated by being able to stay home with my daughter. I know that the harder I work my business, the more time I will have with her, both now and long term”.

Champions are champions because they do things differently. What is the one primary habit that has helped you achieve success as Scentsy Leaders?
Independent Scentsy Director Mandi Shrum harnesses the power of the compound effect, saying: “Work it daily (consistency is key). Develop, write out and follow my plans of action.”
Independent Scenty Director Laura Clipperton concurs, keeping it short and simple with the response: “persistence”.
Independent Scentsy Star Director Susan QJ has an arguably unique approach. She says that generosity is her primary habit that has helped her achieve success in her Scentsy business.

Independent Scentsy Director Michelle Bailey recalls her biggest a-ha moment as “hearing another consultant/friend on stage at Leadership say I helped change her business”.
Independent Scentsy Director Luke Day feels that “being able to change people’s lives without even know you’re doing it”, has created his biggest a-ha moments since joining Scentsy and building a team.
Cassie discovered her biggest ah-ha moment when she had the realisation that “Scentsy was the first ‘job’ I didn’t want to quit!”.
Independent Scentsy Director Ann Burke quotes very simply that “Scentsy Family Reunion” was the catalyst for her own Scentsy a-ha moment.
Emma had compared experiences with times that she had become a consultant/representative for other Direct Sales companies saying that her a-ha moment came after: “realising that Scentsy Leaders and consultants are not in battle. We are a family. Working together and Scentsy Spirit is what separates us from the rest (as well as having the most amazing products)”.
Which tool do you use the most to make your business simple and duplicatable for your team?
Unsurprisingly the majority of Scentsy Leaders felt that Facebook was one of their strongest business tools for Scentsy duplication. However, Independent Scentsy Star Director Glenys Tobiassen highlights a corporate resource for Independent Scentsy Consultants as being worthwhile. “Ascent Academy is an excellent tool” Glenys says, adding that she aims “to do 3-5 things every day” to further her Scentsy business.

Michelle kicks it old school and leans on her planner as the hub for her Scentsy business.
Independent Scentsy Director Theresa Jordan Flores encourages her team to imitate her successful sales business strategies. Theresa feels that “basket parties” are a valuable addition to any successful home Scentsy business.
Luke and Natasha like to utilise regular email training and communication as a duplicatable tool for their Scentsy team mates.

What makes you the MOST EXCITED about Scentsy Family as an Independent Consultant?
Being an Independent Scentsy Consultant really does offer so many of us the chance to live a glamorous lifestyle that we may have only dared to dream about previously. Cassie says the “Incentive trips and awards” are a large part of her excitement.
Being a part of something authentic and larger than yourself is a huge excitement builder for Narna. She shared that she has “always loved the support I have gotten from my Scentsy Sisters and Misters. The relationships I’ve formed have been the most exciting part this for me”.
Glenys quite candidly speaks from the heart in answer to this question. She feels that” the core values of this company and the motto of giving more than you take” are key drivers for her. She also adds that she values “the friendships made in the Scentsy Family with people who inspire me”.
“The opportunity for personal growth, both financially and as a team leader” is what keeps Mandi’s excitement high.
Susan shares that: “Seeing the excitement of new recruits when they join the team, and customers when they buy. Watching them when they talk about Scentsy” is something that continually lights her up in her Scentsy business.
AND NOW FOR THE 64 MILLION DOLLAR QUESTION!
Imagine for a moment that you had to start all over again and knew no one. What is the first thing you would do to grow a Scentsy business from scratch?
Theresa: “Buy business cards!”
Luke: “Door knock neighbours and introduce myself. Hold an open house”.
Michelle: ” I would seek out a big group to do a Scentsy fundraiser for”.
Laura: “Letterbox drop, re- launch party, online party, post on FB, join groups on FB”.
Natasha: “Get out into public more, book markets, loan out Scentsy borrow bags etc”.
Narna: “Ask everyone I meet if they’d heard of Scentsy and if they’d like to buy, host, join”.
Susan: “Read everything, learn more, be more organised, lock in training calls to a schedule, itemise everything I do. Build a contact list immediately. Treat it as a business and not as a hobby.”
Ange: “Make sample packets with a blurb and picture of myself. Talk to everyone in the neighbourhood. Make buying Scentsy a personal experience.”
Tanika: “Be open to new experiences and embrace recruiting…”.
Sophie: “I would not hold back at all, like I did when I first joined Scentsy. I let a lot of peoples opinions, my own self doubt, my insecurities and jealousy cloud my judgement and hold me back. If I could start again, I would work with the notion that other peoples opinions don’t pay your bills.”
