If you have joined Scentsy, or you are considering becoming an Independent Scentsy Consultant, here’s what you need to know about your Scentsy Consultant Account.
Plus, key information on keeping it open and accessible.
What is a Scentsy Consultant Account?
People from all over the world join Scentsy for a variety of reasons. At any time from Scentsy Australia to Scentsy UK (and everywhere in between) you will find:
- Full time career building Scentsy Consultants.
- Part time Scentsy Consultants.
- Hobby level Scentsy Consultants.
- Those who have opened a Scentsy Consultant Account to be paid commission on their own purchases.
- People who move between these levels to suit their circumstances and their lifestyle.
What does it mean to have a Scentsy Consultant Account?
All Consultants within Scentsy have access to their own Scentsy Consultant Account. We receive our personal Consultant ID and access credentials for the Scentsy Workstation after we order our Scentsy Starter Kit and begin our journey as an Independent Scentsy Consultant.
We can use our Scentsy Consultant Account to:
- Keep up to date with Scentsy Corporate Training and Annoucements.
- Follow up with our Scentsy customers.
- Place orders for our Scentsy customers.
- Connect with those who have decided to join our Scentsy Team.
- Stay in touch with our Scentsy Sponsor and upline.
- Place Scentsy orders for ourselves, family and friends.
A Scentsy Consultant Account is basically what sets an Independent Scentsy Consultant apart from a frequently ordering customer, or regular Scentsy Party Host.
How will I know if my Scentsy Consultant Account is at risk of cancellation?
Generally speaking, if you are “set to cancel/terminate” at the conclusion of any calendar month you will receive communication from Scentsy Home Office and/or your Scentsy Leaders.
As part of our access to our Scentsy Consultant Account we are also able to run a series of Performance Reports. These performance reports are accessible to anyone with a Scentsy Consultant Account, regardless of title, rank or size of our Scentsy team. One of the reports we can access from within our Scentsy Consultant Account is known as a “Will Cancel Report”.
Independent Scentsy Consultants who have been unable able to submit 200PRV (dollar amount varies across international markets) within one calendar month over a rolling three month period will have a check mark/tick beside their name within this report. We are able to run this report on any team members, and also ourselves.
So what do you do when you need to keep your Scentsy account active and “kick the tick”?
Look at your “Why”.
Of course the decision to sink or swim with our Scentsy business is up to us. In fact, unlike many other companies of a similar nature – there really is almost no “pressure” to speak of within Scentsy. (Other than what we put on ourselves, right?).
Believe it or not, when you decided to join Scentsy and open a Scentsy Consultant account, you had a “why”. Usually this is a passion that inspires us. Or a gap between where we are now, and where we want to be.
This “why” is one of the most powerful tools in our Scentsy business. Just for a moment, really look at that “why” in detail. Then, and ask yourself: Am I where I wanted to be when I started out with Scentsy?
If the answer is no, then explore this question: How can I enable Scentsy to bridge the gap between myself and my goals?
Consider your “What If”…
Even more powerful than our Scentsy “Why”, is a “What If?” or a “Why Not?”.
What happens to our dreams, hopes and desires for Scentsy (no matter how grand or how small) if we close the window of opportunity. What do we miss out on by losing our Scentsy Consultant Account?
For many of us, the exciting part about opening our own Scentsy Consultant Account was the freedom to be our own boss. As an Independent Scentsy Consultant, we certainly have that freedom, right? But with great power (or freedom) comes great responsibility. How important is that freedom and flexibility? And most importantly – what are you prepared to do to maintain it?
Failing to plan is planning to fail as they say. Sit down in a space free from distractions – or as close as you can get – and create a business plan. Now is the time to set goals based solely on your own personal desires. The important drivers you have are likely to be very different to the reasons your upline, downline or anyone within Scentsy choose to maintain their Scentsy Consultant Account.
Consider your plan your road map. Your plan should include the key actions you commit to taking in your Scentsy business. Whether you are a happy hobbyist or a full time entrepreneur, not knowing exact where you want to go, makes it pretty hard to get there right?
(Show Me) The Money!
To assume that everyone joins Scentsy for the money is naive and inaccurate. Making the assumption that it’s somehow wrong to want your Scentsy Consultant Account to make you money… Even worse!
Let’s get real here for a moment. Have you ever met anyone that would sincerely turn down the chance to have a bigger disposable income? Specific income claims aside; most people agree there is a lot of potential for money to be made within the direct selling industry. The amount we earn, is up to each individual and the action they are prepared to take to get themselves there.
No one can want this for you more than you want it for yourself.
Any entrepreneur can work as many or as little hours as they choose. We can leverage our strengths and be consistent in working on our weaknesses. Dig deep and watch your business explode!
You Do You Boo!
There are no educational or professional prerequisites required to open a Scentsy Consultant Account. It doesn’t matter where you are coming from, it only matters where you are going! We have the unique opportunity to earn as we learn. There is no shortage of training and support on offer. Scentsy Home Office led training and development, your upline, your fellow team mates and peers.
The options are virtually everywhere we look. Don’t gel well with one avenue of training or particular individual? Try another! The only requirement for success in what we do, is the drive to reach whatever goals we set for ourselves.
The only cure to anxiety is action. The longer we sit in one place, the bigger the monster in the closet gets (and the longer the distance to safety grows). Please don’t make the task seem insurmountable.
We have seen time and time again that our customers fall in love with Scentsy. They also fall in love with great service. What do they do next? They keep on coming back! Who doesn’t love feeling appreciated?

Shiny Object Syndrome:
Perhaps someone (or your) have made a pretty solid argument that you can’t fit Scentsy around your other commitments. You find yourself considering going back to your old job, looking for something “part time”, or worse: being sold on the concept of joining another company…
Back away from the shiny object! The grass isn’t greener on the other side – it’s greenest where we water it.
Remember Scentsy is the most flexible ‘job’ (I feel bad calling something I enjoy so much a job…) of all. This is likely what attracted you to opening your own Scentsy Consultant Account in the first place!
In a nutshell:
Whether you want to keep your Scentsy Consultant Account open to:
- Put in the hard yards and take it to the top.
- Market and sell Scentsy online.
- Put the social media into social selling.
- Offer Scentsy Basket/Pouch/Bag parties.
- Commit to an hour or two daily.
- Only work while the kids are at school.
We can’t take advantage of any of these things if we allow our Scentsy Consultant Account to lapse. I understand that sometimes life gets in the way (believe me- with four small children I am hearing you on that one!).
So, with that in mind; if your heart and your passion are in the right place. You want to keep your Scentsy Consultant Account, but you have run out of month to make it happen.
