ASK!
There are a large number of customers out there that simply will not offer you their custom unless you confidently and respectfully ask for it. There is no better time than right there at your Scentsy event to take a big breath, hitch up those big girl (or boy) pants and outright ask your prospects to book parties.
I highly recommend using wording such as “what do you think about hosting your own Scentsy party?” or “Which items on your wish would you choose half price or free if you had the chance?” This is generally a more effective way to book parties than a closed line of questioning. An example of a commonly used closed question would be: “would you like to host your own Scentsy party?”
Can you see that even if your customer/guest answers the first two questions with a negative, they are not shutting down the discussion point blank. This at least gives us the chance to further explore how hosting their own Scentsy party can serve them.
Did you know, it is human nature to say no before we say yes? In fact we will often say no before it is even possible to make an informed decision. Give yourself the best possible chance of your potential hosts at least considering the opportunity to book parties before they reject it.
With time and experience we find the best systems that work for us as an Independent Scentsy Consultant when it comes to booking parties. However, if you find yourself at a loss or aren’t quite confident enough yet to put your own stamp on things you can rely on this old faithful technique. Get your ask into gear and even this basic technique will come through for you on a lsignificant number of occasions.

Run bookings focused games or offer booking prizes
If you are going to play games at a Scentsy Party (this comes down to personal preference), ensure that you know why you are playing. It helps if you consider what you want the host and guests to think/feel/say/learn as a result of the game.
Playing party games with intention; even if that intention is simply to ensure that everyone has a fantastic and enjoyable time- always trumps a pointless exercise that results in a prize that is quickly forgotten.
If bookings are your game or prize focus, take a few moments to consider the top few reasons that people book their own Scentsy party.
They:
-Want to have their own fun gathering with friends and family.
-Are inspired to earn some items on their Scentsy wish list half price or free.
-Feel motivated to help their friend/current host earn some more rewards.
How can your party games or booking incentives specifically speak to each of these motivating factors? How can you educate your guests on how booking parties meets their needs?

Have a Booking Basket
A Scentsy booking basket is a basket of goodies (usually retired items or ex display), that you can offer guests as an on the spot enticement to book parties right then and there. There is no better time to book parties than when the excitement levels area at their peak, right?
Generally speaking it is best to have one ‘big ticket’ item. Then add a handful of medium to small items in your Scentsy booking basket. This helps create urgency amongst your party guests. If they really want the “big” gift or something specific that you have in there, they won’t hesitate to book parties for fear of missing out.
Having a visible booking basket on display will also ensure that we are giving our customers the complete Scentsy party experience. It should be on the forefront of our mind not to overlook offering our party guests the chance to host their own Scentsy event too!
If you are questioning the value of placing a big ticket item in a basket of this nature, consider the value of the bookings that you will gain. Ensure that booking parties (particularly quality parties) will bring you out on top financially. A minimum host base Scentsy party in Australia will earn an Independent Scentsy Consultant a minimum of $60. If your largest basket item is a half price premium warmer for example then you stand to gain not only financially but also in terms of contacts from that future booking.
Obviously the range of value within the basket means that if you secure multiple bookings – even better!

Demonstrate how your host will gain from additional party bookings
Arguably one of the best things about the Scentsy Host Reward Program is the fact that there is no leveraging emotional guilt. A Scentsy party host will not “miss out” on rewards if none of her party guests decide to book their own Scentsy Party.
Scentsy host rewards are actually quite the opposite to many party plan companies. When our original host attends a future qualifying Scentsy Party that was booked from their initial event – they qualify for a bonus half price item. This bonus half price item is “The Perpetual Party Reward”.
For example: If 5 parties are booked and go on to qualify, then our original Scentsy host just earned herself an extra FIVE half price Scentsy items by attending – yay!
This has the powerful benefit of ensuring that party guests don’t feel that they are somehow taking away from their friend or family member who initially hosted by booking parties. Be sure to explain exactly how the Perpetual Party Reward works at all of your Scentsy parties.

Make it desirable for the guests.
Be on the lookout for cues that will signal you that a guests will benefit from booking parties. If you see a guest with a large wish list and a small order, ask them if they know they can earn some of their wish list items for free by hosting their own Scentsy Party. If you hear a customer lament that they would love to order more but they don’t have the money at the moment, problem solve! Go over the host rewards with them and ask would they like to earn some Scentsy half price and free? Simple!
Also, ensure that you mention what makes hosting your own Scentsy Party beneficial at a number of points throughout your demonstration. We don’t know what we don’t know right? We can’t expect our Scentsy customers and guests to realise what’s in it for them unless we point it out.
